Navigating the church in a perfect storm

My first column in ChristianWeek is up:

This is not the easiest time to be a Christian leader. Three realities have converged to make this a perfect storm for the Church in Canada…Christendom has ended, the culture is shifting and many of our churches are ill-equipped to face these challenges.

But, I argue, there is lots of room for hope.

It even includes a typo that made it into the print edition: “Lyle Schaller, a church consultant and author of humorous [should be numerous] books on church life…” – but I have to admit it’s kind of funny.
