Almost there

It’s been a crazy week. I don’t know why I accepted so much to do this week. A lot of it was forced on me, but it’s been the busiest week in recent memory. And we all know that hurry is the enemy of the soul. The highlight for me was last night. I performed a wedding ceremony for a friend of a friend at the Royal Canadian Legion. It wasn’t my usual churchy crowd. It was great. Minutes after the ceremony, everyone was lined up at the bar. Somebody in the lineup told me that I was only the second minister he had met who was interesting and humorous, but the first one had been drunk at the time. Today: one last session at the Willow Creek’s Leadership Summit by satellite (like a wolf among sheep – I’ll blog more about that later) and my final exam in my master’s degree. After today, it will be all over…at least if I pass. Let this day be over soon!
