Not a Banner Day

I just turned down an exciting but risky venture today. It probably was the smart thing to do, but it’s still kind of sad. We could have lost some money; we just didn’t have the time to do the kind of publicity the event would need. Still, we lost an opportunity. The only other eventful thing that happened within the past 24 hours is that I had an article submission turned down. It’s a good article, I think, but they had another one like it and I lost out. I’m going to submit it elsewhere, but it’s a bit of a wait. Not a banner day. I’m going to try to redeem it tonight by taking Charlene out to dinner and a movie.
