Off Day

My brother’s time is coming to an end in England.  He leaves early Sunday morning.  That means I’ll be alone with Dad until next Thursday – on one hand, probably the last days on earth I’ll have with my father; on the other hand, a few tough days indeed. Today we’re staying in Dad’s village, Birchington-on-Sea.  We’ll clean his place out a little, try to get his will done, and arrange some nursing care for him (somebody to call on him monthly).  Tomorrow we’ll go explore Dover Castle.  On Sunday, I may head in with Kevin to London, when he goes to the airport, and do some exploring somewhere. I love England.  I’ve always wanted to live here for a year, and New York City for a year.  Charlene’s okay with living here, but I haven’t sold her on the New York idea yet. I notice that nobody’s been leaving comments. Starting to get lonely.
