Learnings from Trinity Grace and City Collective
The gospel response is simple: recover the practice of parish, where people live together in one local area. In a parish, we can be Jesus’ body: hands to wash and serve with; feet to walk our neighborhoods and spread the gospel of peace; arms extended to welcome neighbors home. As we tell the gospel story, we must welcome people where they live.
Brothers, Train Up the Next Generation
Paul is telling Timothy that an essential part of faithful gospel ministry is this investment in the next generation. It is not some optional add-on.
This kind of feeling can only come from the person who is strong enough to give life without becoming the weaker for it. It’s the person who draws strength from strengthening others
My intention in writing about Tim is not to glorify him or make him seem more perfect than he is. But I do want to make sure you know that the man behind the blog is a real man of God. He is not someone different when he is out of the public’s view.
Not long ago, I wrote a few things down that I’ve always admired about my granddad. Since it’s his birthday, I thought I’d share them with you.
