Remembrance Day

I’m spending Remembrance Day in an area that was regularly bombed during the war. Just down the road is a house that was completely destroyed in a bombing raid. Later we’re in Canterbury which was almost completely flattened during the war. We’re not far from Dover which was the headquarters for the Dunkirk evacuation. All that to say that it’s not hard to imagine how terrible the war was and how much it cost. It’s hard not to remember and be thankful.
