Flattened
I phoned a friend today out of the blue, and found that his wife had just served him with divorce papers. After spending a few hours at his house, I drove home. Sometimes I think I have problems, but other times it is enough to walk in the back door and know that I have a family. That is enough. I felt something like that when Charlene’s father was paralyzed last year. Walking from here to the end of the room is not something to take for granted. It seems like it’s been a heavy couple of months – my Dad, Christina’s seizure, some leadership challenges at church, a pastor friend’s moral failure, some deaths and illnesses this week, and now this. If you think of it, please pray for my friend and his wife.
