Three flawed assumptions

From Put On Your Own Oxygen Mask First:

Most books I’ve read on ministry and leadership are based on three assumptions that lead to flawed conclusions: They make a distinction between the call to professional ministry and the call to lay ministry; they set their conversations about ministry mainly in the context of the institutional church; and they interpret ministry through the eyes of modern thought, ignoring the first few centuries of Christianity. Starting from these perspectives totally flaws any conversation about authentic ministry. (Bill Easum)
