OSAP’s coming

I went to school back in the days when OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) gave grants and loans to needy students. These days, grants are harder to get. I took on some OSAP loans, but I really benefited from their grant program. I couldn’t have made it through school without it. The news today says that OSAP overpaid some grants up to 23 years ago, and is sending out collection notices asking for repayment. Since I got grants, there’s a possibility I’ll be getting a collection notice. Who knows? Not fun to receive a bill from 13 years ago today. Maybe I’ll try to see it as an interest-free loan all these years.
