Enough

This post is from the defunct blog “Dying Church”

I've been re-reading Worship Evangelism. It's strikingly accurate in the first chapter, Time to Get Real. I wonder if churches have really heard and accepted the message, though:

Church sensationalism went out with the 80s. Many people have had enough. They have had their fill of superficial, human-centered services, and they simply are not going to take it anymore. Some may still come to church to hear comedy routines and watch "the show", but increasing numbers do not – they come to meet with God.

My impression is that the general public knows this much more than pastors do, especially pastors who have met with success in their ministries.
