TORONTO (CP) – Ontario’s Liberal leader got a welcome endorsement Friday from this week’s hottest Canadian celebrity: Canadian Idol winner Ryan Malcolm. Dalton McGuinty and Malcolm, of Kingston, Ont., were preparing to take part in a television show. When Malcolm, 23, was asked how he was casting his ballot in Ontario’s Oct. 2 election, he replied: “At this point, I’d have to say Dalton McGuinty. I’m a very Liberal kind of guy.”
