Seven irrefutable laws of moving on a bad day
What I learned yesterday: When you’re packing and moving 1,500 books, and your entire office, make sure you don’t get to the end and wonder where your keys are. Guess the number of boxes you’ll need and double it to arrive at an accurate number. Books are heavy and difficult to move, but I’m still going to buy more. Vacations are fun, but the week leading up to them isn’t. Especially when that week involves a funeral, a wedding, a conference, moving your office, and an exam. Never let your custodian, secretary, and associate pastor all go on vacation the same week. It feels good to get a free upgrade from an economy to luxury car at the car rental place. I need a vacation! The final week of camping this year, just a few days away.
