Won Boston Marathon twice, once with 95¢ shoes

Johnny Miles, the Cape Breton-born runner who shocked the world by twice winning the Boston Marathon in the 1920s, has died in Hamilton. He was 96… “I don’t know what all the fuss is about,” Mr. Miles told the Spectator. “I had a God-given gift and I used it.”
