Take a Risk

We need people who are willing to push the envelope to try new ways to reach people. You might be that person, but you feel like something is holding you back. You need to look at the life of David. When he was a young man preparing to face Goliath the people around him dressed David for battle. King Saul ordered David to wear armor and gave him a large sword. But David walked around and knew he couldn’t fight with those things on. He took off the armor and went off to do battle with five smooth stones. You know the rest of the story. If you feel constricted by traditionalism and feel strangled by organizational structures, if your gifts are not being stretched and your faith isn’t growing, throw off the junk. Take a risk. Do something alternative.” (Lee Strobel)
