Preaching

I've learned a few lessons as I've gone through my old sermons.

A faithful preacher must demonstrate both personal godliness and deliver messages with integrity, dignity and sound speech.

To improve your preaching, focus on accurately communicating the message of the biblical text, applying it to your own heart first, and delivering the sermon skillfully to your congregation.

Application is surprisingly hard, but we can get better.

Scripture contains a richness that’s unimaginable, that’s far greater than what we’d come up with when we set the agenda.
