# Disconnected

One of the surprises of my sabbatical: I’m enjoying being unplugged from some distractions, like Facebook. I deactivated my Facebook account at the start of June, and I’m enjoying it so much that I deleted it a couple of days ago:

If I can keep myself from logging in for two weeks, my account will be gone. Facebook doesn’t make this easy, but [here’s how to do it](http://www.wikihow.com/Permanently-Delete-a-Facebook-Account?ref=dashhouse.com).

I might go back on at some point, and populate my friends list with actual friends.

I’m also pruning the list of people I follow on Twitter, and the number of blogs I follow. It feels surprisingly good.
