# Relate Without Visible Strength

I found this quote from Jack Miller interesting, especially since Richview is beginning a ministry to at-risk children and their families in our local community. Very good advice – and it goes far beyond appearance.

> *Reflect on how you appear to the people of this town and ask God to show you ways to relate to them without visible strength – even to the point of seeming dependent on them.* One way to do this is to get to know key people in town, make friends, honor them, etc. Now I realize you are probably doing this ten times as much already as I am suggesting. But there is always more…Rely on the Spirit! (p.161)

It’s really hard to serve others from a position of self-perceived superiority.
