I received an email from my hosting company yesterday:

> **Subject: WEB HOSTING ACCOUNT DEACTIVATED for DASHHOUSE.COM**

> Dear Darryl:

> Your web hosting account for dashhouse.com has been deactivated (reason: site causing performance problems).

> Although your web site has been disabled, your data may still be available for up to 30 days, after which it will be deleted.

> If you feel this deactivation is in error, please contact customer support as soon as possible.

> Thank you,

Yikes! Not the type of email you want to receive, especially in the middle of a meeting with limited Internet access.

Not surprised that a script could put a demand on the server. It was the comment script, by the way. Looks like someone was *really* trying to leave a comment. I thought, though, that the host might suspend the account temporarily or disable the script, not just shut the account down. At least keep the emails coming or something. I wasn’t too happy to have a complete account shut-down as the first step in resolving a problem.

They reinstated my account, but there’s no way I’d stay with them after that.

In any case, I did some research and found that the top rated host at [Hostjury](http://hostjury.com/reviews/Fused-Network?ref=dashhouse.com) is [Fused Network](http://www.fusednetwork.com/clients/aff.php?aff=066&ref=dashhouse.com), which is located right here in Toronto. (Full disclosure: That’s an affiliate link. If you sign up using that link, I get a cut.) I’m up and running with them now. It was the easiest switch I’ve made; they did most of the work for me. So far I’m very impressed.

The speed of this site should be considerably better now, which is a major plus.

If you notice anything funky going on around here, [let me know](https://dashhouse.com/contact.htm?ref=dashhouse.com) and I’ll try to get it fixed.
