# A weekend with the author of The Shack

You may have heard of [*The Shack*](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0964729237/dashhouse-20?ref=dashhouse.com), a little indie novel that’s been getting a lot of attention recently. I first heard about it from my friend [Earl](http://earlmarshall.typepad.com/blog/2007/10/the-shack.html?ref=dashhouse.com), and gave it a short review [here](https://www.dashhouse.com/books/2007/12/the%5Fshack.htm). [Internet Monk was positive](http://www.internetmonk.com/archive/recommendation-and-review-the-shack-by-william-p-young?ref=dashhouse.com), but [Tim Challies had a more negative review](http://www.challies.com/archives/book-reviews/the-shack-by-william-p-young.php?ref=dashhouse.com).

In any case, the author, William Young, is coming to southern Ontario, and if you’re in the area you may want to hear him speak. Here are the details:
