Charlene’s been away this weekend, just like a year ago, and the weather has been gorgeous, just like a year ago. So it’s really brought back memories of what happened exactly [a year ago today](https://www.dashhouse.com/darryl/2006/05/19212006.htm):

“Just got a call. My Dad passed away in his sleep one hour ago.”

The year has gone very quickly.
