# For productivity geeks

I know there are some productivity geeks out there. You read [43 Folders](http://www.43folders.com/?ref=dashhouse.com), [Lifehacker](http://www.lifehacker.com/?ref=dashhouse.com), and [Pastor Hacks](http://bobhyatt.typepad.com/pastorhacks/?ref=dashhouse.com). You own [Moleskines](http://www.moleskine.com/?ref=dashhouse.com) and appreciate what [Rachel does with them](http://www.cre8d-design.com/blog/2006/06/09/a-confession/?ref=dashhouse.com). If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you may want to skip reading this post.

I’ve bounced between systems for some time now. I’ve tried [Covey](http://www.franklincovey.com/fc/get%5Forganized?ref=dashhouse.com), and later [Life Balance](http://www.llamagraphics.com/?ref=dashhouse.com) with a [Getting Things Done](http://www.davidco.com/what%5Fis%5Fgtd.php?ref=dashhouse.com) approach. I haven’t been satisfied, though. It’s important for me to feel like I can rely on the system, and that I’m not spending more time managing the system than actually getting things done.

Last week I began using [Backpack](http://backpackit.com/?referrer=BPHWSW&ref=dashhouse.com). I’ve had an account with them before but I’ve never used it consistently. It’s been a week now and it’s perfect.

It’s simple. It’s reliable. It does everything I need but nothing more.
