# We almost met Kissinger

I dragged Rick to the [JFK Library](http://www.jfklibrary.org/?ref=dashhouse.com) this morning. When we showed up, the lot was full and we could tell something was going on. Turns out that some conference was going on and [Henry Kissinger](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry%5FKissinger?ref=dashhouse.com) was speaking.

We talked a little to the protesters before Rick posed in front of them. The library was great but we didn’t bump into Kissinger or the other speakers like [Dan Rather](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan%5FRather?ref=dashhouse.com).

Headed up to Gloucester later and almost went in for some refreshments at the [Crow’s Nest](http://www.crowsnestgloucester.com/index.asp?ref=dashhouse.com), the bar featured in the film [*The Perfect Storm*](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0177971/?ref=dashhouse.com). I love [Gloucester](http://www.ci.gloucester.ma.us/?ref=dashhouse.com).

Didn’t run into anyone famous there, even though [celebrities](http://www.crowsnestgloucester.com/gallery.asp?ref=dashhouse.com) have shown up there before. Guess our timing was off.
