# Before Spongebog, there was Bugs

Last week, there was a lot in the news about Jim Dobson’s commnets on Spongebob Squarepants. I had to laugh tonight as I looked back at another cartoon character, [Bugs Bunny](http://www.robotjohnny.com/archives/2005/01/what%5Fa%5Fdrag.php?ref=dashhouse.com) (found via [Boing Boing](http://www.boingboing.net/2005/01/24/quien%5Fes%5Fmas%5Fqueer%5Fb.html?ref=dashhouse.com)). Ouch! As [Church Marketing Sucks](http://www.churchmarketingsucks.com/archives/2005/01/dont%5Fspar%5Fwith.html?ref=dashhouse.com) says, “Don’t ever, ever, ever get in a fight with a fictional character.” Especially Bugs. **Update**: The satire continues.
