The institution has many outstanding and hard won benefits, and by Emerging from within, instead of marching off in a huff, we could have the best of both worlds. Institutions, like hedges and trees, need lots of regular pruning. But if you prune them right they don't need cutting down. Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot.
