# How dare you not attend church? part two

Rachel rocked my world some time ago with a series of posts called [Listening to a non-church-goer](http://www.cre8d-design.com/cgi-bin/mt-search.cgi?search=listening+to+a+non-church+goer&IncludeBlogs=1&ref=dashhouse.com). Agree or disagree, these posts are still worth reading. A couple of good books on why people might be leaving the church (as we think of it) are [*Exit Interviews: Revealing Stories of Why People are Leaving Church*](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0802423183/dashhouse-20?ref=dashhouse.com) and [*The Present Future*](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0787965685/dashhouse-20?ref=dashhouse.com). We may or may not disagree with people who leave, but I would argue that we’re smart to at least understand them. They’re not *all* wrong. We may need to hear some things from them.
