# Million dollar starter homes

The Post had [an article last week](http://www.canada.com/search/story.html?id=ecc5ca43-52e7-4b78-9285-40f279bf797e&ref=dashhouse.com) about million dollar starter homes in Toronto. Whatever. Then my neighbor put his house up for sale this week. I almost fell off my chair when I found out the asking price. It’s nowhere near a million, but it’s tens of thousands more than I would have guessed. And yet the rental market in Toronto is bad because too many people are buying instead of renting. Incredible.
