# Fifteen years ago today

I had just moved to [Runnymede Baptist](http://www.runnymedechurch.org/?ref=dashhouse.com) as student pastor, located in the [most beautiful part of Toronto](http://www.bloorwestvillage.com/?ref=dashhouse.com). I knew no-one, and [someone](https://www.dashhouse.com/charlene/index.htm) showed mercy on me and came down to visit me. We went for a walk in High Park, she bought me dinner (I was a poor student), we went to see [*Field of Dreams*](http://www.fieldofdreamsmoviesite.com/?ref=dashhouse.com) (boy, does that date me). A romance started, along with a pretty cool summer. Ever since then, May 1 has been the start of summer to me. Fifteen years goes fast. Scary.
