# Churchill makes me sick

Browsing at Costco last week, I came across the book [*Sir Winston Churchill: His Life and His Paintings*](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0762420812/dashhouse-20?ref=dashhouse.com). I flipped through the book, and the paintings looked very good. I don’t want to be uncharitable to Sir Winston, but somebody has to say it. Was it not enough to be a great orator, to save the world from Hitler, to write books like *A History of the English-Speaking Peoples*, among other accomplishments? Did you have to be a painter too?
