I just subcribed to [Salon](http://www.salon.com/?ref=dashhouse.com) to get at some of [those articles I mentioned earlier](http://dir.salon.com/topics/anne%5Flamott/?ref=dashhouse.com). I typed in all my information, and ended up getting this message:

> You’re eligible for a big discount because your exchange rate is, well, not that great.

I laughed. I did get a big discount, too. Sometimes it pays to be Canadian.
