At the bottom of Challies.com, Tim has a sentence that really concerns me:
I have now blogged for 1410 consecutive days.
I did some math, and that means that the last time Tim had a day off was October 2003. As much I appreciate Tim's blogging, I think most would agree that the poor guy deserves a day off.
A while ago I started a Facebook group called "Tim Challies needs a day off." It now has 27 members, including Tim himself, his wife, and his pastor. Somebody has started a rival group called "I need my daily dose of Challies!" It has 8 members. I don't want to disparage this people but they seem a little, well, addicted.
Tim really does need a day off.
If you're on Facebook, go ahead and join one of the groups. Choose whatever one you'd like: the one that would like to give the poor guy a rest, or the one that wants to work him to the bone. I'm hoping that Tim gets some rest.

Out of fairness, perhaps you should mention that Tim's wife has also joined the group of those who believe Tim will NOT succumb to your pleas that he stop his discipline of blogging every day. Perhaps she changed her mind as she signed up for our group AFTER signing up for yours. I also believe that she wrote a detailed comment stating all the reasons why it was important to Tim to keep up blogging. This is not a group who for selfish reasons only wants Tim to continue blogging, but a group who understands all the reasons WHY Tim has stated he will not be moved away from blogging every day. Nor do we wish to "work him to the bone" as you suggest! You're missing the point. And just as a gentle reminder, Adrian is in conflict with his own editor on this one, so there's war (friendly type nevertheless) in the camp on this one! But I gotta give you one thing . . . you had a headstart, and you're beating the pants off of us at this point, so PLEASE everyone . . .consider Challies OWN reasoning on this one. It is, after all, a discipline he holds dear. Who are we to try to thwart him, but rather I think we should all SUPPORT him in his efforts! Sign up for the "opposition"!
