I am speechless.
When you told me about this last night it got me thinking...Either I'm way off - but I find a hard time believing it's true. Man and woman in same bed for eight years and they're that committed to some freaked out religious beliefs that they don't respond to any physical urges.
I don't know, seems way too far fetched...
So, anyway, it made me laugh, but I can't bring myself to believe it that it could possibly be true. But it did make me laugh.
I'm pretty sure it's true. One of the counseling professors at my old college encountered a very similar situation, but I think they had only been married for three or four years. They were horrified at his suggestion to have sex, and had to go ask their pastor if it was ok for Christians to do that, before they would believe him...
Historically I know that for the R.C. church a basis for granting annulments to marriages has been when no sexual intercourse has taken place.
