My mother found this old profile of me written in 1980 when I was in grade 13. I showed it to my kids this weekend. My daughter assured me that I look better now. My son had only one word: “Nerd!”

I don’t know. Looks like the epitome of cool to me. So cool that I don’t think I’d be out of place in Napoleon Dynamite.

Our family pictures aren’t quite as creative as Steve McCoy’s, but it’s no small feat to get Josiah to smile for a picture. We had a little help from our dog on this one. The dog is in the picture, although you may not spot him at first.

That’s how you end a vacation

We’ve had many vacations that have ended with a whimper, but this wasn’t one of them. We weren’t sure what to do on Wednesday. Tired and a little reluctant, my family agreed to go back to Quebec City.

It’s crowded, and the day could have been a bust. This day, though, almost everything went perfectly. A horse and carriage tour:

Then some shopping, and the best fireworks I’ve ever seen at Montmorency Falls Park:

You couldn’t plan a better last day than this one.

Zip Line
