Darryl,Rather than getting into it at David Foster's blog, might I suggest that his "dirty little secret" that elevates abuse of pastors while effectively denigrating the damage that has been done by abusive pastors ("by a few") misses the point. The relational sickness in the church is far greater than either of these issues and is directly related to our lack of effective and loving discipleship - the discipleship of all believers.

Bill:I remember an associate pastor telling me that his senior pastor is different from all the other pastors he's worked for. The reason: he acts like a Christian.So I think you're on to something. If we all acted like Christians, thinks would change overnight. Discipleship is the long and messy process of getting there.
