A Church is Born

I was following some tweets over the weekend that had me excited about what God is doing here in Toronto, including at Grace Fellowship Church, a church near where I pastor.

@PastorPWMartin About 30 folks along with 1 pastor get sent out from @gfcto tomorrow. What strange emotions I feel tonight.

@julianlfreeman After 11 years, today is the final Sunday for me & my family @gfcto. Searching for words of thanks, but finding they all fall short.

@PastorPWMartin And so they are gone. GFC East is launched. Joy. Sorrow. Anticipation. Fear. Joy. "...but if it dies, it bears much fruit."

I can't tell you how moved I was to read these tweets, and excited to know that this young church was planting a new church once again. These are guys I appreciate - Julian just spoke at Richview a week ago - and I love seeing how God is using them.

Julian has posted more information on the church plant, along with some ways that we can support him in prayer.

I've been in Toronto a long time, and I can't remember being so excited about what God is doing. Please pray for Grace Fellowship Church, for the new church plant, for my friends Paul Martin and Julian Freeman - and for God to continue to do his good work in Toronto and beyond.
