Please Pray

Last Thursday I met with a group of pastors, a good group of guys. All of them came a little battered with personal and church difficulties. Some were normal, but some were extraordinary and need a lot of prayer.

Since then, I've been in touch with two other pastors who work with marginalized people. One pastor dealt with a suicide a few days ago; the other with a murder.

All of this has made me grateful for people who have chosen risky ministry over comfort. But it also makes me aware of how much we need to pray. We are in a battle. We are not professionals.

So if you're a Christian, can you please pray for your pastors and church communities that are struggling these days? Please especially pray for these two churches dealing with the suicide and murder. We always need God's help; sometimes we're just more aware of our need.
