To Restore the Throne and Dominion of God

Cotton Mather said:

The great design and intention of the office of a Christian preacher is to restore the throne and dominion of God in the souls of men.

We don't really need practical advice on how to live a better life, or cutting edge musical productions, not that there's anything wrong with that. What we really need is to be reminded of who God is and who we are, and to bring our lives back in line with his Lordship and the good news of the gospel.
