Charles Simeon Trust

The first week was completely disorienting as we studied passages and realized how much we didn't know. Once we were humbled, we were ready to learn, and we developed a new appetite for what good Biblical preaching could be.
It sounds strange, but as I look back, that first week was intense and nerve-wracking, but also amazing.
I had a similar experience this week - almost as good in some ways, but a lot cheaper. I attended a Workshop on Biblical Exposition put on by the Charles Simeon Trust. The workshop includes instruction, small group practice, and model expositions (sample sermons that put these into practice).
Worth checking out if you ever get the chance to attend one.

I attended the Simeon Trust workshop last year in Calgary and I am planning to be there again this year, Lord willing, May 7-9 (I think!). I agree, Darryl, it is an excellent workshop. It is a great blend of teaching, interaction with other preachers, and modeling of preaching by the presenters. The price is right too - $99, or no charge for Bible College & Seminary students. Glad to hear the one you attended was good too. Tim
