Drew Marshall audio

The audio from our time on the Drew Marshall show last week is now online. Check it out if you're interested.

I was impressed by Drew, and fellow guests Bill Kinnon and Michael Spencer. All good (and smart) guys.

The only question I've been asked this week is why I gave the thumbs down to Focus on the Family. I should have said that I used to like when they focused on the family. Probably a little harsh, but that's live radio I guess.

Thanks Darryl!

Interesting Darryl. The two clever guys Drew and Bill, the gracious Darryl and the reasonable Michael Spencer. I give you and Michael Spencer thunbs up, the clever Bill Kinnon a "neeee" (not sure how to spell how you guys said that one), and the increasingly puzzingly Drew a big thumbs down. Only thing that puzzled me about what you said was you believing that Obama was a genuine follower of Jesus Christ. Do you think it is possible for someone who has a pro choice position on abortion to be a genuine follower of Jesus Christ? Bill, have you checked out Westminster Chapel on Dewhurst Ave yet? Not sure exactly how things are working out there but you might just find that community that you are looking for. You should check it out.

George: I was impressed by both Bill and Michael. I thought they did a good job. My Obama comment came from a conversation I had with a Christian leader in the States, who's one degree of separation from the man himself. He seemed to believe that Obama's faith is genuine. I disagree with Obama on the abortion issue, but yes, you can be a genuine follower of Christ and be wrong on abortion, although I would hope not for long. Since last week I've read an interview of Obama that makes me wonder a bit more about his faith. I'm sure we'll continue to learn a lot more about the man in the days to come.

"I was impressed by both Bill and Michael. I thought they did a good job." Well, of course you were impressed, they're your blogging buddies. I just thought I'd do my own rating, kind of like you guys did with the folks that Drew threw at you. "but yes, you can be a genuine follower of Christ and be wrong on abortion, although I would hope not for long." I don't understand that one Darryl. Obama has been a church going guy for a long time. Presumably he's been exposed to the truth of God's Word that long and if he is a genuine folower of Christ, pro choice definitely does not make any sense. A new believer working his way thru things, maybe he can be messed up about it but like you say, not for long. Obama knows what the Truth is, but just like most people, he will not submit to it. Doesn't fit with his own agenda. We will all give an account.

George, you are assuming that he's been going to a Bible teaching church. Churches teach all sorts of doctrine - much of it non Biblical or even Christian.

I think George's assessment of me is probably accurate. Oh. Sorry. His assessment of my "performance" on Drew's show. And no George, I have yet to check out Westminster on Dewhurst, though I have heard good things. I'm off to hear a fine preacher at Little Trinity in a few moments, Fleming Rutledge. She loves God's Word and preaches it faithfully. Would that there be more like her.

It was a good show - the three of you really had a certain vibe going. You should seriously consider a group podcast :-)
