American dollars accepted at par

The last time the Canadian dollar was this high, I hadn't even started school.

Darryl, Is the Canadian dollar "high"? Or is the U.S. dollar just really "low"? It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it? ;-) Seriously, though, I'm wondering what this means for our SIM missionaries from the U.S. who are counting on their support dollars to translate into a certain amount in their host countries ... What I wonder is why this is on a church sign!? Maybe I just don't understand Canada

There are a lot of people from the financial industry in that area. This church often comments on current events on their sign. Just trying to be winsome I guess.
