Almost there

I've had four experiences over the past week when all I could do is wait. The more I tried to fix the situations, the worse they got. I had to just take my hands off it and let God do whatever. Not an easy lesson for me to learn.

It wasn't fun yesterday. I came home and all I could do was wait. And wait.

But now the school has the form for me (being faxed in a few minutes) and I'm almost on my way. I'm booked for a 4:30 flight but I am going to go to the airport and see if I can get out sooner.

Did I mention I hate waiting? And being late?

Oh, man... I'm sorry to hear about the border problems. I had the same problem when I headed down for the last course in my programme. Two days before, a decision had been made that *all* courses were to be treated the same, no matter the length of the course - so the paperwork was necessary. I didn't mind the requirement - but it was really frustrating to be sitting at the side of the road on a Sunday evening (about 9:30pm), trying to figure out how to get ahold of someone at the seminary so I could get across the border. It worked out in the end - but what a major frustration! I hope you enjoy your time in course, Darryl. blessings & peace - Richard

Made it. Sounds like we had similar experiences. I'm a bit poorer and I lost a day of class, and it feels like I lost a couple years off my life, but at least I'm here. Thanks for your prayers.

I think it's all kind of silly. I had all my paperwork in order last fall, when a US customs offical said "we can deny you entry into the US, you know." When I asked why, she said, and I quote, "because we can." I'm all for border security and taking all necessary precautions, but come on.
