Navigating the church in a perfect storm
Friday, March 3, 2006 at 8:21AM My first column in ChristianWeek is up:
This is not the easiest time to be a Christian leader. Three realities have converged to make this a perfect storm for the Church in Canada...Christendom has ended, the culture is shifting and many of our churches are ill-equipped to face these challenges.
But, I argue, there is lots of room for hope.
It even includes a typo that made it into the print edition: "Lyle Schaller, a church consultant and author of humorous [should be numerous] books on church life..." - but I have to admit it's kind of funny.

Great article, Double D. I was about to go looking for Schaller's humorous books...
Darryl ... hopefully you are en route to Beantown by now. Don't know where I picke dup that Schaller quote, but we used it to help our thinking about the future in a post back in December. dlc http://lpconline.blogspot.com/2005/12/turning-40.html" rel="nofollow">http://lpconline.blogspot.com/2005/12/turning-40.html
