Gone

050403.gif Headed to England tomorrow to look after some things for my Dad. Not really looking forward to the trip. I have to do some business and check in to see how he's doing. I may even get to see Andrew Jones if I'm lucky.

Enjoy your trip. Give my love to Dad, if he remembers who I am.

Don't feel sorry for ME... My Dad suffers from dementia, and unfortunately does not always remember who comes to see him, or who his children are. I know it is the disease that is the cause of his forgetfulness, so I don't hold it against him. Dad is otherwise quite happy and enjoying his life, so I find it hard to feel too sorry for him, either. I am actually rather relieved that he is as happy as he is, even though there are obviously problems associated with dementia that make it difficult for the rest of us. Darryl has been dealing with the brunt of those problems for the most part, (for which I and my siblings are grateful,) mostly because he has more opportunity to travel to see Dad than we do. Darryl, you ARE a brick, and if I have never thanked you before for all you have done and continue to do for Dad, consider this the "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart.
