I am a man of constant sorrow

I somehow managed to contract a case of herpes zoster, or as they're more commonly known, shingles. Youch. I take back all the times I've laughed at those with this affliction. I no longer find the name funny. I thought only old people got this. Don't say what you're thinking. Make this go away.

Darryl, if I understand it correctly, this is your old childhood chicken pox coming back to haunt you. You didn't contract anything new. It's been dormant on your nerve endings for quite a number of years and just woke up.

Mike, you're absolutely right. I don't know what brought it on now, though. I had this planned for my 60s. My son is saying funny stuff about chicken pox out of the blue. It's strange and funny.

darryl, this is not a funny matter...... you better seriously get yourself checked out asap - just to be on the safe side of things - cause you seriously will never know.... funny, how you got your chicken-pox when you were just a little one....and i got mine in my late 30s, which i am really late at this stage from getting it....but it was definitely not funny at all.....and i can seriously sympathized with you now....get as much rest as you possibly can.... hope you feel much better real soon buddy....okey dokey.... gotta go.....been at work since 5:00am this morning and i still have a long day ahead of me...
