Flattened

I phoned a friend today out of the blue, and found that his wife had just served him with divorce papers. After spending a few hours at his house, I drove home. Sometimes I think I have problems, but other times it is enough to walk in the back door and know that I have a family. That is enough. I felt something like that when Charlene's father was paralyzed last year. Walking from here to the end of the room is not something to take for granted. It seems like it's been a heavy couple of months - my Dad, Christina's seizure, some leadership challenges at church, a pastor friend's moral failure, some deaths and illnesses this week, and now this. If you think of it, please pray for my friend and his wife.

I will pray for your friend and wife, in that whatever happens the outcome brings them both peace. And I will pray for you as well, that you may have some rest and recharge time.

I'll be praying. My husband and I were there two years ago. God performed a miracle. Our marriage is absolutely thriving. When I look back, all I can do is shake my head and thank God. I'll remember to pray for you as well.

Surviving Hailstones...Isaiah 32:15-20b When the Spirit is given to us from heaven, deserts will become orchards thick as fertile forests. Honesty and justice will proseper there, and justice will produce lasting peace and security. You the Lord's people will live in peace, calm and secure. EVEN WHEN hailstones flatten forests and cities. You will have God's blessing as you plant your crops beside streams.... *May your crops be planted by streams, may the Lord heal...
