Everybody should fly executive class

I'm in a McDonalds Internet cafe in London, safely arrived. Today, some sightseeing. Tomorrow, I meet Jim and Andrea, a couple of close friends from Richview, who are on their way to Ethiopia to work for a couple of years. It's going to be fun to hang out together tomorrow. Then, later in the afternoon, I go to see my Dad. When I booked my flight here, it cost only 5,000 more points to go executive class. 80,000 vs. 75,000 points...I didn't take a long time to decide. Everyone, I mean everyone, should fly executive class just once in their lives. Life is good in first class. Some people are clearly more accustomed to it than I am, as I looked around. Forget about the preboarding, the tablecloths, food, movies, newspapers, service, the footrest, or the special customs clearance. Give me the space! This may have been the first flight that the person in front of me didn't bang into my knees as he moved the chair back. Give me the space. For the first time in my life, I had more than I needed on an airplane. Like I say, everyone should do it just once. Maybe someone can campaign on this one day: a chicken in every pot and an executive class ticket on a near-bankrupt national airline once in your life. I crash landed to third class last night. My hotel is less than classy. Ah well, I'm here. I'm about to head out and do the tourist thing. I'll maybe have some pictures later. Miss my family. Peace to you today.

You are right about executive class. Did you know if executive class isn't full you can sometimes upgrade for almost nothing. It's always worth asking! I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Ah yes, the fond memories of executive class. I maintain that the airlines are the last stronghold of the class system!
