Fifteen years ago today

I had just moved to Runnymede Baptist as student pastor, located in the most beautiful part of Toronto. I knew no-one, and someone showed mercy on me and came down to visit me. We went for a walk in High Park, she bought me dinner (I was a poor student), we went to see Field of Dreams (boy, does that date me). A romance started, along with a pretty cool summer. Ever since then, May 1 has been the start of summer to me. Fifteen years goes fast. Scary.
