The good news is that our high-speed is back

The bad news is what Rogers did to get it working again. Think cable wire strung from tree to tree down the street like a laundry line, terminating at our house. Yikes. On the plus side, I couldn't wait for Charlene to get home to watch her reaction. I'm also looking forward to seeing the mailman get whacked by the line tomorrow as he takes a short cut across our front lawn. On the downside, it's going to be a long winter until they get around to burying the wire, and I'm not sure I'll neighbors will be talking to us after this. Update: Ed asked for a picture.

Remind me the next time I complain about Sympatico, not too. Rogers. On the plus side, they threw some great staff parties. Maybe that's where all the money goes. Now I know why I haven't heard from some friends! Merry Christmas, don't work too hard eh?

Maybe if you string some Christmas lights from the cable, your neighbours will think you've done some more decorating outside!

Funny... that's how the whole island is wired in the DR!

dd ... so, what does Rogers' solution say about your choice of provider? doesn't Rogers go into anyone else's house? or just yours? also, the word "terminating" at our house ... this just isn't a confidence instilling post. hope you have a merry christmas!

Don: Our connection, from the street to the house, was broken. That's why it just runs to our house; ours is the only one with the problem. Ed: Picture coming, although it's hard to take a picture of a cable! :)
