I would be happy to do rid of it entirely everywhere. I have yet to understand the point of the necessity of it in this modern world. I feel it's just a habit that no one is willing to break.

Just another example of Man trying to manipulate Nature. It may have made sense way back when Daylight Savings Time was first instituted, but like Income Taxes, now only serves the purposes of the Government.

Okay, things are really out of whack when you quote "I object to the implication that I am wasting something valuable if I stay in bed after the sun has risen" and "as an admirer of moonlight" etc. How dare you grumble of those who "push people into bed earlier, and get them up earlier"? Morning people take note - this quote did not arise from your ilke!

Saskatchewan DOES NOT HAVE IT RIGHT. Our entire lives revolve around two questions. "What time is it in Calgary?" and "What time is it in Toronto?". Why? Because it is always changing! Our television shows are later or earlier. People make fun of us! Why?! Because farmers actually tell us it is our cattle that can't adjust to different feeding times. Like our cows are stupider than Alberta or Manitoba beef. Even if they are dumb, import some smart ones! This post should be deleted in case it gives some ammunition to the Saskatchewan neo-luddites that support the status quo. It is truly Saskatchewan. Don't change anything! Even the clocks. Wow. That was a passionate rant. I don't even get that upset over politics or theology :-)

Changing times twice a year is not big on my list of complaints .. rather remembering to change times (as I forgot) can result in making a very amusing early arrival for the resident pastor .. as it was in our case (amusing to all).
