The cabbage rolls were amazing

Some friends and fellow bloggers met up with Peter and Niki tonight. Ed and Vania, and Brian and Lynne were there. I am not at liberty to tell you everything we discussed but I can tell you that the Hungarian food was amazing. More pictures here. Next meeting is in the Dominican.

"I am not at liberty to tell you everything we discussed..." I don't go to your church, so whatever you discussed isn't relevant to me. However, it sounds like a kind of pious statement, implying that some people are not worthy to know what has been discussed until the discussers want to disclose it. I understand that not everyhing should be brought into an open forum, but for heaven's sake, why say it? It makes people on the outside of the circle feel like, well, outsiders...

I could tell you, but then I would have to shoot you... It was actually a comment made in jest. No secrets discussed; just a great time.

Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only the Piano Player...(1973 Elton John) Actually I'm not the piano player, but who can resist a good line!

Your joke was better than my attempt!
