The Emergent Mystique

Christianity Today has published a fascinating article on the Emergent movement (yes, I called it a movement). I am caring less and less about whether a church or person is emergent. The real issue goes deeper. The money quote for me is this one by Rob Bell:
"People don't get it," he told me. "They think it's about style. But the real question is: What is the gospel?"
Some good stuff to wrestle with in the article.

"Weak is the New Strong" (A little weekend reading for y'all...)There's a new article up at Christianity Today called "The Emergent Mystique" Like all labels, this one conceals as much as it reveals. But the phrase "emerging church" captures several important features of a new generation of churches. They are works...
